Distribution of USDA Commodities

Commodities will be distributed on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, from 10:00am to 1:00pm at the National Guard Armory (former UC Sheriff Department) on Airpark Rd. After 1:00pm, seconds can be picked up if available. If it’s your first time, bring personal ID and proof of residency. Commodities will be distributed without discrimination of race, sex, color, age, handicap, national origin, or religion. This institution is an Equal Opportunity Provider.

School Board Meeting

The Clayton Municipal School District #1 Board of Education will meet in Regular Session on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at 5:00pm in the Clayton Municipal Schools Board Room. A copy of the agenda will be available 72 hours prior to the meeting from the Superintendent’s Office at 323 S. Fifth St., in Clayton. Meeting can be viewed on YouTube @ https://www.youtube.com/@claytonmunicipalschools5287. If you are an individual with a disability who needs a form of auxiliary aid or service to attend or participate in the meeting, please contact the Superintendent’s office, 575-374-9611, at least one week prior to the meeting or as soon as possible.  

Golden Spread Community Food Pantry

The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP), funded by USDA, will be open to Union County Residents ONLY, no exceptions, from 8:00am to 8:00pm on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. Residents must sign up for the program. The Food Pantry will be open for everyone on Tuesday, January 27 2026, from 10:00am to 8:00pm and January 28, 20256, from 8:00am to 4:00pm. The Golden Spread Community food Pantry is located at 1 Main Street (the old Pixie Building).

Town of Clayton Regular January Meeting

The Town of Clayton Board of Trustees will meet in Regular Council Meeting on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at 6:00pm at the Clayton Civic Center. The agenda for this meeting closes on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 5:00pm. The agenda may be obtained from the office of the Town Treasurer, City Office, 1 Chestnut Street, 72 hours prior to the meeting.
